From the East (M5, A38)

From the A38 take the A30 west (the second exit for the A30) towards Okehampton. If the traffic on the A30 coming the other way is light, continue past the first exit for Exeter (if traffic is heavy, you may want to consider options below). After 3 miles you will see a sign for Tedburn St Mary & Pathfinder Village in 1/2 mile. You now need to get into the outside lane of the dual carriageway in good time, as this is a right hand turn across the carriageway. Continue down to the roundabout.

For Lorries:

At the roundabout turn left for Tedburn St Mary. Continue into Tedburn and you will arrive at a mini-roundabout. Take a sharp turn right, passing the Wolfgar Veterinary Practice on your left.

Contine on this road for @ 3 miles. Go past a radar mast on your right. As you approach the top of the hill there is a small cross roads with a post box in the hedge on your left and a layby just past the cross roads on your right.

Turn left at this cross roads signed for Oldridge & Crediton. The turning is narrow and the next 100 yards are narrow and awkward up over a small hump in the road. There are several passing places just over the brow of this small hill, so if you meet anything, just wait for them to go back.

After 150 yards turn right for Whitestone Church. Continue down this lane about 1/3 mile to arrive at The Glebe on your left, marked by a couple of yucca trees (tropical looking things). Go through the gates and turn right. Follow the road round to the left and then right to a carpark on your left. If this is full, continue straight on through a gate to a further large parking area.

For Trailers & Vans:

At the roundabout turn right for Pathfinder Village. Go through the village, past the bus shelter on your left and at the staggered crossroads 100 yards further on turn left up Heath Lane. Continue up the lane to a very steep crossroads at the top (if you are not comfortable with a steep hill start - or your clutch might struggle - please do take the easy option for lorries above). Go straight over signed for Oldridge & Crediton. The lane is quite tight here and the next 100 yards are a bit narrow and awkward up over a small hump in the road. For Trailers avoiding crossing the A30:

From the A38 take the A30 west (the second exit for the A30) towards Okehampton. Take the first exit for Exeter and at the bottom of the ramp take the first left off the roundabout for Ide. Follow this road until you come to a T junction. Turn left and then almost immediately right at Swain's Garage.

Continue for about 3 miles passing the Exeter Van Centre on your left. Almost exactly 1/2 mile on you will see a red triangle signpost showing a staggered crossroads and a left turn to Holcombe & Burnell. You want the right turn, Heath Lane (identified by a red postbox on the corner). If you come to a roundabout you have gone too far. Either turn around or contine to Tedburn following the directions for "Lorries" below.

From the West (A30)

Take the A30 east towards Exeter and leave at the junction for Cheriton Bishop & Tedburn St Mary. At the roundabout take the second turning right for Tedburn St Mary, continuing parallel to the A30 in the direction of Exeter.

(If you find that Teburn is signed the first left and you are being taken back the way you came, don't worry - you have just missed the earlier junction. Continue into Tedburn and you will arrive at the mini-roundabout. Take a sharp turn right, passing the Wolfgar Veterinary Practice on your left.)

Go through Tedburn until you reach a mini-roundabout at the end of the village. Take the left hand fork, passing the Wolfgar Veterinary Practice on your left.
